01

The basic rule

You pay for access to Beak Pro during each billing period, including the usage allowance made available for that period.

Beak does not offer a blanket satisfaction or change-of-mind refund. Except where this policy or mandatory law says otherwise, a subscription payment is final once the billing period begins—especially after paid features or allowance have been used.

Paddle is Beak’s Merchant of Record and authorized reseller. Paddle receives your payment, issues the receipt, and processes approved refunds. Beak does not ask you to send card details and will never refund a purchase by requesting payment through another service.

Cancellation is not a refund

Cancel before the next renewal to prevent another charge. Cancellation normally leaves Pro active through the current paid period and does not automatically return the current payment.

SituationNormal outcome
Duplicate or incorrect chargeCorrection or refund after verification.
Material unresolved service failureFix, replacement, or full or proportionate refund, depending on the impact.
Accidental renewal with no paid use after renewalDiscretionary review if reported promptly; approval is not guaranteed.
Change of mind after paid useNot refundable, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
Cancellation before the next renewalFuture billing stops; the current payment remains unchanged.
02

When a refund may apply

We review a narrow set of billing and delivery problems rather than promising refunds after normal use.

  • Duplicate charge. The same purchase was charged more than once.
  • Incorrect charge. Paddle charged an amount that does not match the price, discount, or billing terms shown when you authorized the purchase.
  • Material service failure. A verified problem substantially prevented delivery of the paid service and Beak could not provide a reasonable fix or workaround.
  • Mandatory right.Applicable law or Paddle’s buyer rules require a refund, withdrawal, price reduction, repair, or other remedy.

We may also review an accidental renewal reported promptly where there was no use of paid service after renewal. That review is discretionary and is not a promise of a refund.

03

What is not refundable

A paid period is not a free trial, and consuming the service before requesting a refund is not permitted.

  • Changing your mind after a billing period has started or paid service has been used.
  • Forgetting to cancel before a renewal, particularly where paid use continued afterward.
  • Unused time or allowance remaining when you voluntarily cancel during a paid period.
  • Temporary or minor interruptions that do not materially prevent use of the paid service.
  • Problems caused by an unsupported device, unreliable connectivity, third-party software, or use that violates the Terms of Service.
  • Currency-conversion differences, card-network fees, or bank fees outside Beak’s control.

“Paid use” includes starting a Pro live session, consuming Pro minutes, or using a paid-only capability. These limits do not override a right that applicable law says cannot be waived.

04

Material service problems

If Beak fails in a meaningful way, give us enough information and a reasonable opportunity to put it right.

Contact us promptly with the date, platform, app version, and a non-sensitive description of what happened. You are not required to disclose a private transcript, password, card number, or confidential meeting content to establish a basic technical claim.

We may first offer troubleshooting, a fix, or a reasonable workaround. If a verified defect materially prevented the paid service from being delivered and we cannot put it right, we will work with Paddle on an appropriate full or proportionate refund based on the period and service affected.

05

Mandatory consumer rights

Some rights depend on where and how you purchased and cannot be limited by this policy.

Paddle applies the buyer protections and withdrawal, cancellation, or defect remedies required for an eligible transaction. Conditions can differ for digital services made available immediately and for services already used.

Nothing here waives mandatory rights

If this policy conflicts with a refund, repair, withdrawal, cancellation, or dispute right that applicable law says cannot be waived, that mandatory right applies. See Paddle’s current Refund Policy for its buyer process.

06

How to request a refund

Use the route that is easiest. All valid routes should identify the Paddle transaction.

  • Select the support, manage-subscription, or refund link in your Paddle receipt or transaction email.
  • Open Beak’s Subscription page and use the secure Paddle customer portal.
  • Visit paddle.netand choose “Request refund.”
  • Email [email protected] from the address on your Beak account.

Include the Paddle transaction or invoice number if available, the charge date, and a short explanation. For a technical issue, add your operating system, Beak version, and the approximate time of failure.

Never send payment secrets

Do not email a full card number, security code, online-banking password, API key, or identity document. Beak and Paddle can locate a purchase using safer transaction and account information.

07

Review, approval, and timing

We review the transaction, delivery, and usage facts—not just the reason stated in the request.

  • Beak targets acknowledgement of an emailed request within two business days.
  • We may ask you to verify control of the account or clarify the transaction.
  • We may review cancellation history, service availability, paid usage, prior refunds, and related accounts where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse.
  • Beak targets a substantive decision or escalation to Paddle within five business days.
  • Paddle makes the final payment-system entry and may independently verify legal or fraud conditions.
  • Approved refunds return to the original payment method where possible; your bank may take additional time to display the credit.
08

Cancellation, access, and data

Cancellation prevents another renewal; a refund reverses an existing payment.

Partial refundDepends on the decisionMay continue for the remaining covered periodApproved portion returned through Paddle

Refunds do not automatically delete your Beak account or product data. You can delete sessions, documents, or the account separately. Billing and dispute records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy.

09

Fraud, abuse, and chargebacks

Refund review is not a way to obtain repeated free service.

We may decline a discretionary refund where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, repeated refund cycling, account hopping, multiple accounts used to repeat refund requests, materially deceptive information, chargeback abuse, resale, quota evasion, or a serious violation of the Terms of Service. Mandatory rights still apply.

Contact Beak or Paddle before filing a chargeback when practical. A chargeback can freeze the transaction and delay a normal review. If a chargeback appears fraudulent or claims non-delivery despite substantial verified use, access may be suspended while Paddle and the payment provider investigate.

10

Questions and policy changes

Ask before buying if a refund condition is important to your decision.

We may update this policy to reflect law, Paddle’s buyer rules, or product changes. The version in force when your transaction occurred normally applies, unless a later version or mandatory law gives you greater protection.
